Connecticut Beer Trail Members Converge on Bristol’s Craft Beer Scene

Firefly Hollow Brewing and Barley Vine (a craft-inspired gastropub) will host the Connecticut Beer Trail’s bus tour on Saturday, June 29, 2013.

This tour features stops at CT’s local breweries including Plainville’s Relic Brewing, Bethany’s Stubborn Beauty Brewing, and Bristol’s Firefly Hollow Brewing. “Although Stubborn Beauty and Firefly Hollow are not yet open to the public, these craft beer fans will be among the first to visit the new facilities and meet the brewers at the new craft beer brewery in Middletown and Bristol”, said Bryon Turner, founder of the CT Beer Trail. Firefly Holly Brewery is scheduled to open later this summer (2013), according to the brewery’s brewer Dana Bourque.

In addition, these beer trail members and craft beer lovers will be treated to a fun stop at Middletown’s Eli Cannon’s Tap Room and Bristol’s Barley Vine. Barley Vine, in conjunction with Charter Oak Brewing, will be offering a tasting of Charter Oak’s beer.

“We’re excited to host this CT Beer Trail event”, said the owner of Barley Vine Terry Lugo. “These events provide a great opportunity for our businesses to showcase to the growing Connecticut craft beer market and for Bristol to showcase its revitalization.”

We encourage the community to come out on Saturday, June 29th between 3 and 5 to Barley Vine located at 182 Main St, Bristol, CT to show these beer fans from around the state that Bristol is supportive of the new and exciting craft beer businesses in town which we believe encourages other business owners to become part of Bristol’s renaissance.
